Play Schedule

Green Division Play Schedule

TIME: Please see the play schedules above.  Please plan to be at Woods no later than 30 minutes before your scheduled match.  This is in case they are ahead of schedule and for you to be prepared to play.

Typically competition begins around 9 AM so arrival is about 8:30 AM, but that will be tailored to the actual schedule that comes out.  The Green Division is played outdoors and is usually completed by noon with awards following.  The other events are played inside and are usually finished by mid-afternoon.  This is all dependent on the number of participants.  Please keep your day open so that you can adapt to any changes.  The biggest factor is the weather.  If we all have to come inside then you can plan on a longer day.

UNIFORM: Bright yellow dri-fit Tennis Buddies shirt with white or black skirt/shorts (If possible, shorts with pockets)

tennis shoes that will not mark the courts (NO fashion shoes!!!)

CHECK IN: Terri Fuxa and Jodi Trofholz will be at a table on the sidewalk as you enter Woods to check in all athletes.  Big Red Raffle Tickets will be distributed, too.

FACILITY:

All matches for Doubles, Singles and Unified Doubles will be played inside. All Green Division matches will be played outside. The facility is air-conditioned so if you need to cool off you are welcome to go inside.

WEATHER:  Looking  ahead it does not look like rain will affect our event.  If needed be a rain

schedule will be made.

***Lunches for outside will be handed out by Sara Cline (Molly's mom). Let's plan to sit down together after the green division matches and enjoy our lunch together.

Divisions:

Green Division:  This is played on a smaller court with a low compression ball.  An athlete will be paired with a volunteer player for each match.  They are allowed more than one bounce as these are athletes that are just learning or need more time to keep the ball in play.  They may play just this event.

Unified Doubles: This event is played on a full court with an athlete paired with a volunteer vs an athlete and a volunteer.  They are allowed one bounce and play regulation tennis rules. They may play just this event.

Doubles:  This event is two athletes vs two athletes.  They will play regulation tennis.  May also play singles if desired.

Singles: This event is athlete vs athletes.  They will play regulation tennis.
